I dunno Cellus, interest in Insurgency seems to be hovering around the -2 mark here. Personally - besides being generally sick of the game in anything other than tiny doses - I'm a bit over joining American 'competitions' and owning them all. The hassle of organising the matches far outweighs the satisfaction considering there's no challenge.

I've got nothing against the Americans we played. For the most part they were polite and friendly and at least they provided a place to play other teams when we couldn't even muster a local comp.
But in saying that I've just had jack of the game. I play it every now and then but can't be fucked keeping up really.

Oh also does anybody even go on the teamspeak server these days? I've been on a few times over the last couple of weeks but it's always empty.

Things are certainly quiet, I'm pretty relaxed about it, I don't see it as terminal I'm just keeping my head down on my ArmA mission thang because I want it ready to port immediately to Arrowhead. Rough plan is to re-build around ArmA P-v-P with that and/or Project Reality. I've no idea what other people are playing, I guess BC2 though it's my perception that hasn't turned out all that flash, so maybe not-much-at-all Insurgency-like right now.

I have been playing a bit of BC2 lately and even though it is a completely and utterly different game to ins or Arma, I still find it very fun. I was a fan of ET:QW before ins and BC2 is quite similar...there are some good peeps around on the servers (ty to grump for introducing me to some) and it can be quite fun and also quite team oriented, surprisingly.

As far as Arma goes, at the moment I just dont have the time to commit to it as I am juggling more than I can manage in my non-game life and when I wann aplay a game I need something I can turn on, have fun for half an hour or an hour, then turn off again. And insurgency...well I clung on to it for longer than most but I have now let go finally and it would take almost a totally new version of the mod to get me interested again.

That's all a real bummer cos I miss killing/ being killed and hangin out with you guys

Minuuuuuute! May I suggest trying to balance your unhealthy obsession with real life with a lot more playing computer games? I'm sure that would be a sensible solution.

Well if BC2 had server files ANZINS would have taken more of an interest. Even without I do think it's a shame a few of our regulars didn't form up to play together, Luoson/aD's passing flirtation with BC2 probably put the kaibosh on that (come to think of it, a bit like he/aD derailed our participation in the ESL).

I'm a member of the AOG community, who have recently acquired a ranked BC2 server. They are similar to us in that they are mostly mature gamers and use TS3 too. Feel free to join me

MinuteVariance (unsurprisingly) is my BC2 name.

rV has a team in BC2.
Have not heard from a few of the Ins rV players like cannon pig, rez or johhny rocket.
I guess they will appear again if they are interested in playing again.
Sad that Ins is no longer.
I had to give it away because of my higher ping from WA.
Kept getting kicked off servers for it so it ended up a waste of time.
Would see some of you playing on US servers but it was a waste for me trying to get on.
rV has its own server in BC2.
I now help out as an Op for GA in BC2 as well.
BC2 is about the only game we can find that everyone is interested in playing.
It was either that or we all split up and head in different directions.

Anyway, thats a little of what rV is up to at the moment.
Anyone looking to join the BC2 ladder that doesnt have a current team can drop by the rV pages and sign up if interested.

Disappointing to see the end of Ins though.
I missed the first few years because of ETQW.
Even when we had players that suggested "having a look" i didnt come along.
I really wish i had.
I still rate it as the best game i have played.

Not sure how my 'passing flirtation' have to do with anything. Unsure how i am to blame for people not forming together, Hu1tik was the only regular for the anzins matching that even joined aD for BC2. Even after bc2 came out i played in a match for anzins so how you can say the downfall of anzins matching had anything to do with me is beyond my understanding.

Also any paricpication in the ESL was your duty to set up, You cannot blame me for anzins ESL. I gave you guys warning that i going to set up aD in ESL, hardly to blame for trying to setup my own team there..
