Oh apparenlty pre-loading doesnt work with the beta UI of Steam.

Actually after doing 10% of the download I realised I don't care for MW2 MP. There are just too many hassle (such as that whole 'join a hacked sever and get a VAC ban' issue) and really what want from MW2 is just the co-op Spec Op missions which aren't part of the MP weekend.

Apparently it's 11GB and it takes a Steam retart after the first 4GB to download the rest. Not worth it for that much.

I was at 16 GB of a 20 GB cap and roll over on the 10th so 4 GB would have been okay for some mild amusement but 11 GB is a waste of time.

I'd get more amusement from 11GB of bollywood movies!

Yea, I just played to the end of Act2 on my brothers xbox360 while babysitting for a few hours and none of the missions seemed that interesting. They certinly dont meld together well even comparted to COD4.

yeah trooper, the single player for mw2 is terrible compared to the cod4 one. only a few bits were cool in mw2's single player. only missions i actually liked was the first half of the oil rig mission, the prison break mission which the level was designed based on the movie 'the rock' and finally the first half of the afghan mountain top where you snipe a few guys then sneak around in some caves.

as for spec ops mode, yeah its pretty fun with a friend although theres no voice com so i had to use steam voice chat via friends. mp is ok, think of it as a quake 3 clone without all the crazyness which is replaced with a current era military feel and with killstreaks (which could work as a power up equivilent?). the joining hacked server thing has been patched. out of the 13 mp maps maybe 5 are actualyl pretty fun.

basically its worth a try out (play all of single player and play all mp maps) to see what you like or dislike though chances are if you bought bf:bc2 then you will complain about mw2. dont buy it unless its on sale for like bargain bin prices.

The missions certinly don't seem to flow well together - you are pretty much thrown from one place to another and seem to switch characters every few times.
