ESL Season Two: ANZINS 2nd Place

Season 2 of the ESL was definately an experiance for the ANZINS members that participated. After being promoted from the second division into the first division, we always knew it was going to be hard, but a 2nd Place finish is just awesome. Well done to all the ANZINS guys that took part during the season

King Of The Hill

The KOTH ladder is now in its 3rd Week of Competition with aD. remaining the Undefeated King Of The Hill after 2 successful defences of it's title. If you think you have what it takes to be KOTH get your members together & check out the forum for more details

Saturday 28 February 7:00am AEDT / 9:00am NZDT

ANZINS vs the Dogs Clan in the ESL ANZINS had one of it's better performancesin the ESL. Playing as Ins first round on Buhriz Luoson stood up and delayed the cap of alpha with some handy assistance from smish for what seemed like forever. Once Alpha fell the comms clicked in and Bravo was never was going to be taken. Back up was every where it was needed and ANZINS finished the round still holding Bravo. As Marines ANZINS capped out Buhriz for the win with another fine showing of Comms & support play. Ramadi was hard & fast as we've come to expect from Fire Fight maps in the ESL. With one round each ANZINS walked away with the win: Buhriz ANZINS 2:0 Dogs Clan & Ramadi ANZINS 1:1 Dogs Clan

Saturday 21 February 7:00am AEDT / 9:00am NZDT

ANZINS racked up its first win in Season Two of the ESL In a match against the RAF ANZINS was on fire. Match Report written up by Luoson.

KOTH - SEASON I

The groundbreaking first season of the hit drama ANZINS - King of the Hill Ladder, has ended.

Congratulations to Apocalyptic Demise (aD.) who managed to defend the top spot for 8 weeks running!

Well played to all the other teams, and a big thank you to all the players who got involved to help kick the local competitive Insurgency scene into a new gear.

Also, we cannot forget to thank Cabal and Defunkt without who's time and money the whole thing would not be possible.

KOTH - SEASON II

Currently plans are underway for a revamped competition promising more maps, less repeated matchups, and a more consistent contest.

SIGN UPS FOR SEASON 2 WILL OPEN SOON, SO GET YOUR TEAM READY!!

Work is still being done on this map and it is our intention to show you some screenshots soon so that you can already see what has been changed. This is one of our top priorities. We may be late sometimes, but we don't forget!

I call on all fellow ANZINS members to please choose to play on the ANZINS servers and avoid the chaos that reigns just about everywhere else. Support the community that supports you!

Cabal's New Video Card

Cabal's New Video Card

A new generation of games is here and I'm probably going to lay down a few hundred on a new graphics card at the same time knowing Cabal's machine is due an upgrade too. Many of you will know pretty much everything that goes on here is paid for by Cabal, the forum hosting, the Ventrilo server, the ESL match server in the U.S. and the shiny new rental box that runs the local ANZINS public and KOTH match servers (and will likely run next-gen ARMA2/OFP2 servers for us also). It's a lot each month. Some of you have already offered to contribute and since Cabal's been tardy about organising a PayPal account I thought I'd run a collection on his behalf. Don't care what he actually spends it on, server rental probably, but I dare say he will actually be buying a video card before long.

We've a diverse membership both waged and unwaged, hopefully everybody who uses some or all of what he makes available will find some amount below manageable. To keep things suitably transparent when I've received an amount I'll add it to a list here against the donor's name. Could you post in here so I know to look.

Fair go ANZINS, please, hands in pockets, because the alternative is to let one person shoulder the cost for all.
